Tour de coop
Chickens have come up in the world since the chopping blocks of yesteryear—not only are they city chicks now with fancy coops and organic feed, but alert reader Linda Jennings sent me an email about hen house tours happening across the US.
Austin Texas had their first Funky Chicken Coop Tour this year. Madison Wisconsin got in on the trend with their Mad City Chicken Coop Tour. Portland is all about poultry and Seattle, Tuscon, Albuquerque, Atlanta and Salt Lake have launched their chicken runs. Could be fun in a barnyard sort of way.
So wondering if the chicken people in Southern California should get touring, too? Santa Barbara has the Loop de Coop, but it looks like we’re not organizing south of Point Conception. What do you think? Let me know, we can create a chicken caucus to plan for spring.
