Too many tomatoes? Corn coming out your ears? Are the peaches prolific this year?
Organizations are sprouting that gladly take our backyard edibles and distribute them to hungry people—and I found one site that offers handy links to harvest programs all over the west—Village Harvest —makes it easy to find a program near you.
What’s more, Village Harvest has a pretty cool resource page about orchard care, pruning info, links to fruit tree experts and more.
Aeonium alert: Identified by its owner (don’t you love people who save plant tags?) Aeonium ‘Velour’. Still, what some growers are calling ‘Velour’ doesn’t match up.
