Love scooping the NY Times and this time it’s a Jeffrey Bale garden in Portland, Oregon.
Bale, a landscape architect brought up with two geologist grandparents, is used to having a pocket full of pebbles - he picks them up everywhere he goes and those go into his garden designs.
Photographer extraordinaire Mitch Maher shot these recent pics just last week when Portland was in full fall color.
