Walking in fields of Lavender has never been so close. </p> <p><a href="http://www.newoakranch.com/index.htm" title="New Oak Ranch">New Oak Ranch</a> in Ojai begins its annual u-pick lavender season on June 19 - July 31 on Saturdays and Sundays. </p> <p>Among the organically grown lavenders you pick yourself are Grosso (most aromatic), Provence (for culinary use), Hidcote (garnish) and Buena Vista (retains its color).
