‘Home Run’ roses are the good child
John Schoustra wrote me a while back saying ‘Knock Out’ roses are good and all that, but I missed the boat. ‘Knock Out’s’ offspring, ‘Home Run’ is a much better pick for California gardens.
Breeder Weeks Roses says ‘Home Run’ is America’s truly red, totally black-spot and mildew-free shrub of the decade. Quick to bloom, repeats in 30 days, and if Schoustra says it’s good, I believe it.
Besides, I want him to sell me some of those ‘Beverly Sills’ irises he’s got on his web site.
