So yesterday’s jaunt to Ventura to have lunch with a gaggle of women in the garden industry was a rare event for me. Maybe that’s why it was so much fun. Debra Prinzing, freelance writer and author of <a href="http://www.shedstyle.com/" title="Shed Style ">Shed Style </a> hosted the party. Julie Bawden-Davis, freelance garden writer and author of <a href="http://www.juliebawdendavis.com/" title="Healthy Houseplants">Healthy Houseplants</a>, the book and blog, is on your left. I’m sure you recognize <a href="http://www.shirleybovshow.com/" title="Shirley Bovshow,">Shirley Bovshow,</a> television host, blogger and landscape designer on the right. Me? I was taking the picture. Lots of fun meeting HGTV’s Kristan Cunningham, Aime Lindsay of <a href="http://www.stonemanorlighting.com/index.html" title="Stone Manor Lighting,">Stone Manor Lighting,</a> Karen Neill of <a href="http://www.terrasculpture.com/" title="Terra Sculpture">Terra Sculpture</a> (lots of high style with low price tag), Judy Horton landscape designer (who designed my all time favorite garden featured in the <a href="http://www.latimes.com/features/printedition/magazine/la-tm-gardens06feb06,0,7034573.story?coll=la-home-magazine" title="Los Angeles Times">Los Angeles Times</a>, and from which I did a lot of shameless lifting for my own landscape.
