California dreaming…
A new kind of dry meadow photographed by garden designer and blogger Michelle Derviss at Garden Porn features blue agave, Stipa grass and Drumstick alliums in the Oehme, van Sweden plot at CornerStone Gardens in Sonoma. Very pretty, dry summer plant combination perfect probably for a slope.
Btw, if you’ve never been to CornerStone Gardens you could plan a trip like this—the third week of September:
Drive up and hit Annie’s Annuals in Richmond on your way in
Attend the fall garden festival at CornerStone Gardens September 18, 19, 20
Hit the wineries
Take lots of naps
Find Walker Apple Farm in Sebastopol (707.823.4310)
Don’t leave without visiting Wildwood Farm Japanese maple nursery
whatever
