Ahh, the hot, dry days ahead
Weather that some of us will be “enjoying” soon. So what comes along at a good time is “Mediterranean Kitchen Garden” by Mariano Bueno, translated by Evelyn FitzHerbert (Frances Lincoln Limited) about growing fruits and vegetables in a hot, dry climate.
Cool because Bueno, Spain’s top organic gardener, wins my vote right off because he composts in open heap, just like I do. Beyond that, he teaches us to plan, plant, mulch and harvest under the sizzling sun. Like the chapter on aromatic and medicinal plants, too.
whatever
