April 21, 2009Why are succulents so dang seductive?
Have you ever met a succulent you didn’t like? Put them in the right pot, put the pot in the right spot and yowee, they’re darn right addictive!
Pssst! Can I interest you in a pinch of Pachypodium namaquanum? And you’re like, sure, even though you haven’t a clue what that is. Nobody turns down succulents. At least nobody I know.
So I was browsing through one of my favorite nurseries, M & M in Orange, and here was everyday sedums and such potted in spectacular pots. Even the rocks add a certain c’est la mode.
Beverly Turner, the plantswoman who invented fairy gardens had been applying her magic sprinkles to sempervivums and all kinds of water storing plants that we don’t know the names of. Except they were not for sale. Dang. All potted up for the South Coast Plaza Spring Garden Show this weekend.
Find the M & M Nursery booth and you’ll find new ways to own aeoniums.
