When does squiggly work?

How about here in this trained vine (of creeping fig perhaps)?

I like how the squiggly design is juxtaposed behind two trim boxwood hedges—like how the vine sits at the end of a parking spot— like that it’s mulched with gravel and up-lit at night. Simple and interesting and you don’t need a lot of space to squeeze in some jazzy style.
