What landscapers won’t plant in their own gardens

Genevieve at North Coast Gardening has an interesting two-part post up about what plants her and fellow landscapers would never plant in their own gardens—usually because they are a nightmare to maintain. What made the list? Daylily, bamboo, Society Garlic, roses, buddleia, lawn and more. See Part l here, and Part ll here and wish with me that we had that list, like, 20 years ago.
