As if you need an excuse to get over to Roger’s Gardens. In case you do, they’re kicking off spring with a weekend full of verdant events: Pat Welsh speaks on Saturday at 9 a.m., Brian Blood gives pointers for your plein air paintings at 2:30, Monrovia’s Nicholas Staddon shares new plants on Sunday at 9 a.m. and there is a whole thing about wedding flowers at 2.

And then, of course, there’s Roger Gardens - seven acres of plant splendor.
