The veggie solution

Spotted on tour, this an edible garden in full wine barrels. Works if you’ve got problems with gophers, rabbits, snails, or your back for that matter.

Eight wine barrels lined up on a decomposed granite bed…and it looked like the water source came from below each barrel up into the center. Definitely on my like list.

Function, attractive, and a little old worldly. This would work for ADA gardeners too.

used barrels can be found around january at the temecula wineries when they’re switching to new ones. prices are reasonable at about $50 apiece.
