The consensus

Scott Lathrop planted a clump of “Christmas Cheer” 10 years ago (from seed), John Trager from the Huntington Botanical Gardens says they planted “Christmas Cheer” in 70s and he grows it at home in part shade.

Nan Sterman says hers keep going like the Energizer Bunny while Pat Welsh and I tank.

The consensus is: Some shade, more water than not, and fast drainage.

‘Christmas Cheer” at San Marcos Growers.
