Sumpin’ Good - Strawberry Mango Salad

Choose one: The strawberry stands are brimming -or- your backyard bounty is ready to pick. Plus your cilantro couldn’t be perkier with our recent cool weather and rains. And all the while the lime tree is loaded with fruit.
Get it all together for a scrumptious mix with this recipe from the California Strawberry Commission:

Strawberry Mango Salad

1 pint strawberries (2 cups) stemmed and chopped
1 large mango, peeled, seeded and chopped
1/4 cup sliced green onions with tops
2 tbsp. fresh lime juice
1 tbsp. chopped cilantro
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
Salt to taste

Directions
Prep Time: 10 minutes. In a bowl, toss all ingredients except salt to blend thoroughly. Mix in salt. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate up to two days. Serve with corn chips, grilled chicken or mild white fish. Makes about 3 cups.
