January 12, 2011Smelly solution to noisy neighbors
I just recalled I tip I read years ago from Jen Vandervoort at Muddy Boot Dreams: Jen discovered that when pleading, begging and negotiating with neighbors who party on the patio until late at night doesn’t work, watering your garden with fish emulsion in the evening does. Just a tip to file away for days when you’re desperate to have some quiet.
Btw: Jen is a spectacular photographer…take a peek at her art cards here.

Ron says:
I have a very elderly neighbor who couldn’t take care of his yard anymore. I started mowing his front yard regularly and doing what I could out back once in a while, but it eventually got pretty bad. He has two adult sons who at one point came over and started to clean up the back yard. They actually built a new and larger patio and when they were done, it looked pretty nice. I thought they were there just helping out their Dad, but I found out later that Dad had signed the deed to the house over to them, and the patio soon became the ‘after work party place’ for all their friends (construction workers)...sometimes with the two sons, sometimes without! After the partys finally end…many of the attendees just sleep it off right there in the backyard! This has now been going on for several years.
My question is, where can I buy fish emulsion in 50 gallon drums?
