January 17, 2010Perennial plant of the year - 2011!
It is barely 2010 when garden writers are announcing the current Plant of the Year, Baptisia australis, when perennial propagator Walter’s Gardens blabs the identity of the 2011 perennial plant of the year already, Amsonia hubrichtii, probably knocking the wind out of planned marketing campaigns by the Perennial Plant Association.
But then, how else would growers and nurseries be ready for “demand” if the plant isn’t being discussed? Does this make you feel just a wee bit worked?
