Monarchs want more than milkweed

You say you want a butterfly garden, but really, what kind? And we’re not talking gardens. What kind of butterflies do you hope will twitter by? California Tortoiseshell, Western Tiger Swallowtail or Pygmy Blue? Or maybe you hope the Variegated Fritillary will land on your shoe.

Haven’t a clue? Las Pilitas Nursery knows all about which plants attract what kind of butterflies. Even better, they have the plants. All you need to do is buy them, plant them in the ground and then be sure not to prune or spray when your butterflies are laying eggs, larvae-ing, cocooning and all the life-cycle things that butterflies do.
