Look who knows so much?

And here we thought the tumbleweed was a uniquely American plant…rolling down the road like it does in so many western movies. But the Human Flower Project says it’s an import - the Russian thistle Salsola tragus introduced here in the 1870s.

Not an entirely terrible-looking plant either, when it’s blooming, but then the way it disperses it’s seeds by rolling, not something you’d want around.
