Last of the summer tomatoes

Scott Lathrop always said that before you pull out the last of the summer tomatoes to make room for your winter vegetables, try this: Yank the plant out roots and all…shake the dirt off…..walk your plant into the garage, tool shed or any cool, dark place, and hang the plant upside down from the rafters.

Tomatoes will continue to ripen on the plant leaving you with precious soil space to start something new.

Hi!
I like this tip for tomato plants. Gonna try it this year cause I have a few tomatoes that need ripening but I also can’t wait to get started on next season’s crop!
thanks.
