Hot time in the High Sierras

Sometimes you just know what you want even when there isn’t a name for it. For me it was a hot bath in the high Sierras.

So hubbie and friend George talked about rigging something up outside the cabin with firewood and creek water, but still….I knew it was never gonna happen.

Then this, the portable wood-fired tub from Holland came along. It’s practically what I imagined and it has a name, The Dutch Tub. I’m still never going to get one, that’s the sad part. But doesn’t it look incredible?

Gourmet—More reason to grow your own. In the next two weeks Governor Schwarzenegger may approve a highly toxic fumigant, methyl iodide for use on California strawberry fields. That is, if commercial growers get their say.
