Hello Veronica!

Just about now the Veronicas are coming into their own in Southern California gardens as I was reminded while strolling through the Nikkipolani blog, as it happens. Veronica is a interesting class of plant ranging from creeping ground covers (Veronica repens) to upright and semi-herbaceous shrubs (Veronica spicata). The spikey ‘Sunny Border Blue’ is a favorite in my garden, even though I don’t deserve it.

No matter what I do to the plant, and I’ve done terrible things, it finds its way to the sun and blooms above any other plant around it. Thank you Veronica, and I really mean it this time.

If you spot ‘Sunny Border Blue’ at the nursery, buy it, cause this is what it looks like even if you’ve been bad.

whatever
