Garden gals get together

I admit it, I am a card-carrying recluse. So yesterday’s jaunt to Ventura to have lunch with a gaggle of women in the garden industry was a rare event for me. Maybe that’s why it was so much fun.

Debra Prinzing, freelance writer and author of Shed Style hosted the party. Julie Bawden-Davis, freelance garden writer and author of Healthy Houseplants, the book and blog, is on your left. I’m sure you recognize Shirley Bovshow, television host, blogger and landscape designer on the right.

Me? I was taking the picture.

Lots of fun meeting HGTV’s Kristan Cunningham, Aime Lindsay of Stone Manor Lighting, Karen Neill of Terra Sculpture (lots of high style with low price tag), Judy Horton landscape designer (who designed my all time favorite garden featured in the Los Angeles Times, and from which I did a lot of shameless lifting for my own landscape.

I’m pretty sure interior designer (but lovely exteriors also) Sandy Koepke was there, too.
