September 23, 2009For Patty the pond mover
I have a friend named Patty who has moved her pond more than anyone I know. But that’s a long and convoluted story. Suffice to say that now she is interested in solid surfaces and I wanted to show her what permeable looks like.
Permeable is the haute way to landscape because it captures rainwater. Check out these pavers with an inch or so of ground cover between each one. Rain hits the solid surface and instead of running off to the storm drain and direct to the ocean, it trickles into the ground and lands in a aquifer somewhere. Then we get to drink it.
Just saying…
whatever
