Do it yourself orbs

Summer project - do it yourself orbs. I’ve done ‘hypertufa’ (cement + peat moss) projects before. Messy, but really easy.

Fairegarden provides complete instructions.

The Local —Feuding neighbors. The fight started with buckets of water and escalated with weed whackers. Life-flight helicopters included.

I took the hypertufa class at Fullerton Arboretum and it was great fun. Made a spherical plant pot that now houses a cool senecio, plus a small orb out of the leftovers.  On my to-do list to make some more stuff.

The same material can be used to make flower pots.  Unusual shapes can be created from a mold. Smmoth-On provides the ingredients to make the mold and then the hypertufa can be poured and pressed into it.
