DIY snail solution

Some gardeners like the satisfying crunch underfoot, throwing is good if you’re not fond of your neighbors. Me? I like to squirt slugs and snails with equal parts ammonia and water in a spray bottle.

You’ve got to get up early to catch them out in the open before they hide away for the day.

I throw them, hard, into the street so the birds can eat them. Recycling at its best.

Amen Elna…that’s what I do.  The shells always crack on impact, and I also hear the cars run over them while I’m out there working!  For a long time I didn’t have snails as I established a colony of Decolete snails in my yard, but it has now died out probably from lack of food!
