Did you know?

It takes a lot of pea plant energy to make those little twirly tendrils that grab on the next piece of netting or whatever you provide for your peas or sweet peas to climb.

Energy that could be used for more peas or flowers. If you want a bumper crop of blooms or food, pinch off the tendrils that the plant doesn’t need.

...But then how do they climb?  Seems you’re doing a disservice to the plants, no?

...Blessings… :o)

Huh!

Semi-related: Trader Joe’s now has shelled english peas in a little plastic bag; when I first saw them, my instinctive “oh how cute” response kicked in. Then I thought, I should grow peas.
