Dear Dustin,

We remember you as a kid working at Heard’s Gardens Nursery, spouting off fancy plant names and tracking down rare and unusual plants. Now you’re all grown up with a Bachelors of Science in Horticulture from California Polytechnic University in Pomona and a fancy Wisley Diploma in Practical Horticulture from the Royal Horticultural Society’s Garden in England. We wondered where you went….Heronswood, Greenlee’s grass nursery, the other side of the pond.

With a garden design business of your own now, Second Nature Garden Design it looks like from the gallery of gardens that you’ve designed, you are off to a spectacular start. Great plant combinations, love your minimalist mod stuff, and wondering about that big leaf plant in South Laguna. The big roundy one under the deck.

Keep in touch,
