Cotton makes a comeback

I imagine cotton (an annual) is not that difficult to grow considering that it was is a major crop in the U.S. Whatcom Seed Company offers cotton seed for the home gardener. Plant in spring, harvest in fall, fun for the whole family. 

But Gardens Alive! offers a little story on why seed is so scarce: Something about the cotton people controlling the boll weevil.
