December 13, 2011Big talk about bioswales…
..around these parts. It’s just a fancy name for a rain garden - a low gravelly area where rain water can collect so it doesn’t run down the gutter collecting bad things on the way - out to sea - and mess up the place where our aquatic brethren live.
Keeping rainwater on your property where it has a chance to seep into the ground and ultimately the water table is the better deal. Just saying.
whatever

Carol says:
THe Telegraph article really knocked the delightful Rosemary and Thyme TV show. Like one of the article reply comments, I too am sorry it was cancelled. I always looked forward to having a nice relaxing time after working all day in the nursery business, watching those two ladies take on landscapes in those old mansions of Europe (and figure out what plant killed someone and how). It was (and still is) a cute spoofy entertaining show!
