Add a little whimsy to your fruits with wall paint

You know when you have an idea in your head and all of sudden you see it in real time? Like the day after? That’s what happened when I was scrolling through the Los Angeles Times blog, L.A. At Home....

There is was—painted fruit trees - exactly what I was thinking of, but in an appley shade of green. Blue is not bad either.

My fruit trees live alone on the side of my house, mulched in gravel. I was thinking of livening up the look with paint. The University of Tennessee Cooperative Extension says do not paint fruit trees less than two years old, use interior grade latex paint, paint in late fall on warm, sunny days, and light shades are better than dark. Wonder if appley green qualifies?
