A sidebar to gardening, sort of

Prolific garden writer Amy Stewart, author of From the Ground Up: The Story of a First Garden, The Earth Moved: On the Remarkable Achievements of Earthworms, and the New York Times bestselling Flower Confidential: The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful in the Business of Flowers and newest book Wicked Plants: A Book of Botanical Atrocities due out in May, also belongs to a growing group of daily painters, professional and otherwise who complete a painting a day.

Her group of five from Humboldt County, Lost Coast Daily Painters, post a new painting per diem even before the darn things are dry.

Anyway, the onion that Amy ate (above) sells for $35. She calls it “Onions and Garlic”. I’m loving the colors. Perhaps because they match my blog?
