May 15, 2009Friday fiddly bits
You’ve got four days to get thee to the opening of the Chelsea Flower Show that runs May 19 - 23. “Babes in arms, prams and pushcarts not permitted.”
Oh, you’re not going this year? Then you can keep up to date on the Royal Horticulture Society blog where designers Luciano Giubbilei, Tony Smith and others post about their crocus construction teams and those herds of cows meandering through the show herbs.
Looking for Emily?

Found.
We know Emily Green as garden contributor at the Los Angeles Times, but she’s also launched a blog Chance of Rain. Serious subjects are covered such as the state of our diminishing water supply, desalination for San Diego, and climate change, but you can also click on her archives for stories about dry gardens and find a substantial list of events.
Time to move on

I discovered still another way to roll with tillandsia - as a centerpiece. If you can’t figure out how to put this together, then you might buy it at Viva Terra.
And, if you missed my earlier post about two ways to roll with tillandsia, click here. Tillandsia seem to be the “it” plant this year, but I’m moving on.
