Breathe, breathe in the air

This is what it looks like to wake up in Provence in a certain artist colony called “Chambre avec Vue” in Saignon. There is only one room to be had where “artists are invited to stay at the property in exchange for enriching the space with the product of their inspirations,” wrote Genevieve Sandifer for the blog Hip Paris. Click to find out more. Me? I’m just lovin’ the all green garden.

And speaking of Paris, a note on corn. (I know, the world’s worst transition here.) I haven’t grown corn since I was a teenager. Now I have no choice. It’s the super-sweet white corn people that have pushed my fav, yellow corn out of the markets. I like corn that tastes like corn, not candy. So this year, once I dig up the potatoes, in goes True Gold from Seeds of Change. They totally got me on the description: “Longtime favorite with a truly delicious, buttery, rich flavor.”
